4 Weeks Old

It's really hard to think that Olivia and Hulse are a month old. It has truly flown by and they have changed so much already. I have to say that the experience of having children has been very different than I imagined it would be. It hasn't been easy by any means, but it has been much more amazing than I anticipated. I went from being responsible for myself only to having two precious little people depend on me for survival. I laughed when a co-worker asked if I was enjoying my vacation because being a mommy (or daddy) is as far from a vacation as I can think. Was it worth it? You bet it was. Becoming a parent is by far the biggest privilege that God has given me and my daily prayer is that I do at least a decent job with the blessings He has given me. I'm doing a study on John and this week the focus was on John's father, Zebedee. The author pointed out that John could have been so willing to lay down his net and follow Jesus because his father had laid the foundation in John's heart to follow Jesus. My prayer is that I, like Zebedee, will plant my children's lives near the Living Water so when the time comes they will lay down their lives and follow Him.

Welcome to the blog.

I (Trey) am writing this first post, but I imagine that Jenn may do most of the updating in the future. If you've found this place, you know that our little twins were born almost a month early on January 26. We've got some announcement printed up to send out, but here are two of the announcements I created but we decided against.

Not their best pictures. At the time, we didn't have all that many where they weren't together - and we still don't.

This was decided against because you obviously want to see how amazingly handsome / beautiful they are. You'd also miss out on the opportunity to compare their appearance to their amazingly handsome/beautiful parents.
